About the Project

The Sit & Meet project was created from the desire to expand the tourist offer of the city of Zagreb in a way that makes visitors aware of the number of objects and inventions that were indirectly or directly created by people from these areas. This project also contributes to strengthening the Croatian image in a way that unites the country's culture, art, history and tourism.
The project includes thirteen sculptures of famous Croats, which were made by young but renowned artists. Each statue is placed on one of the most popular coffee spots in Zagreb. In that way, every cafe bar becomes an open-air exhibition which can be enjoyed by a wide range of visitors.

The Sit & Meet project organizes walking tours which include meeting all 13 great Croats, learning everything about the Croatian coffee culture and visiting all the important cultural attractions in the city center of Zagreb. The tours are led by experienced guides who are certified for the city of Zagreb.
